20 Jul ERTEFA SHOW 2016 (JULY 9, 2016)
ERTEFA started in 2009 as a small gathering of friends with a similar passion and quickly became a place for the car community in the Greater Toronto Area to come together every Thursday night in the summer and meet. In 2014, ERTEFA had its last official parking lot meet and transitioned into an enclosed car show on private facilities. This made it possible to provide more entertainment and a better overall experience for our community in terms of safety, control and organization. ERTEFA had its very first indoor car show at the Markham Fairgrounds on Thursday, May 21th of 2015. With over 12,000 people in attendance and a sold out show, they saw the potential to expand and offer an even better experience for the community. On JULY 9TH 2016, this year, ERTEFA utilized over 150,000 square feet of indoor space at the luxurious Toronto Congress Centre accompanied by an outdoor space sufficient for over 5,000 cars for yet another show type event moving on from their classic car meet format. Many cars and exhibitors showed up to check out the event. This year they partnered up with Formula Drift Canada to further expand their scope and offer the maximum possible experience for their attendees through a drifting exhibition. Live drift demos were provided by some of the best world-class Canadian drifters through Formula Drift Canada. The event comprised of an outdoor space as well as a special showcase indoor space for high end and heavy modified vehicles. The indoor space also featured many vendors and themed displays for various car clubs as well as Motorsport organizations and classic car displays. ERTEFA’s long-term aim is to execute a Canadian version of the popular SEMA show that takes place in the United States. In a sense, this event will act as a pilot for future events.
