15 Sep Garbuska: Luke Wierzbicki’s 1961 VW Beetle.
We seem to be seeing a lot of scraper rot rod style Beetles popping up lately. Slammed, dropped to the ground, scraping, rusted out and slammed beyond belief. However in a sea of scrapers its refreshing to see a Beetle, while still stanced, kept up clean and daily driven in the summer. I met Luke Wierzbicki recently at a local car meet and as soon as I saw his “Garbuska” as thats what he named his bug, roll-in slammed low and cambered in the rear I fell in love. Therefore I decided to shoot his beloved beetle in order to try to capture this Canadian beauty and share it with the world. Luke’s Beetle is unique and he takes really good care of it. The car was purchased last year on Luke’s birthday, by him and his girlfriend Elise Ceolin. The bug was bone stock when they got her. Car is a daily driver all day everyday except for winter. Elise and Luke got her restored and ready to drive and enjoy, however they put their own style into her buy slamming her and adding some classy rear camber as well as adding all the extra accessories. Elise had a head start on the dub life, because she owned her moms 1973 super beetle as a first car, and when Luke found this out he knew it was meant to be and they had to grab another. That is how this all started and the rest is history. The location we chose was a fishing dock just outside of Hamilton Ontario as Luke loves to fish. Please enjoy this classic stanced beetle.
